EL CENTRO de Proteccion
San Jose Protector

Hope, Love and Dreams provides support and assistance to El Centro.

El Centro de Proteccion San Jose Protector operates a residential and day program for young girls in Nicaragua who have been removed from their homes by the Nicaraguan Ministry of Family. These girls have been removed from their homes primarily due to physical or sexual abuse, lack of care or abandonment, or exploitation by their parents or family members.

El Centro maintains a facility in the municipality of Tipitapa, outside of the capital city of Managua, in order to take care of these girls. El Centro takes in children as young as two years old and provides housing, all meals, medical care, education, recreational activities, counseling and all other types of care. El Centro not only provides the basic human needs that these abused and at-risk children need, but also provides support, counseling, and role-modeling necessary to empower these children to thrive academically, physicially and socially so they can have a promising and sustainable future free of the abuses that they suffered as children.
